About the museum

The Museum of Freemasonry comprises the Museum, Library and the Archives of the Freemasons of New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory.

It is a public Museum as well as a registered Charity. Its extensive collection spans many centuries and included documents dating from the earliest days of the Australian colonies.

There is an extensive and wide ranging collection of furniture, paintings, glassware, timber items, ceremonial regalia or costumes as well as the Lodge meeting rooms.

The Museum is situated in the Sydney Masonic Centre and it still in constant use by Freemasons.

Guided tours are available daily at a cost of $10 per person but visitors are welcome to view the open exhibits of the Museum for free at any time. Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 4.30 pm.
