About the House
Situated in a beautiful location on Lake St. Clair, 15500 Windmill Pointe Drive is located in Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan. The house was designed by architects Benjamin and Straight in 1927 for American aircraft designer and VP of Engineering at Packard Motor Car Company, Colonel Jesse G. Vincent.
The three story English Tudor style residence is constructed of brick and masonry with a slate roof, and handsome copper gutters.
This 5,256 sq ft home features a unique canal that runs from Lake St. Clair to a dry dock under the living room. While we can neither confirm nor deny stories of rum running, we can point out there is a basement tavern room complete with a bar located just steps away from the boathouse.
