This bicycle route can be travelled in one day, but we highly recommend you not hurrying and prolonging the trip for two days. The tour begins in the village Dubrynychi and takes you through Liutianska valley, along the former narrow-gauge railway to the mountain villages Chornoholova, Bukivtsovo, Smerekova, as well as Novoselytsia, a village on the Slovak border. We will introduce you to the history and highlights of the Village Dubrynychi, the development of narrow-gauge railways and woodworking, locations where movies were shot, places for mushroom hunting and kaolin mountain. We will show the place where Uzh and Liutianka merge and the magical lagoon. You will hear the silence of mountains; learn about the history of ancient wooden temples and life in the mountains.

Information about the guide

Alisa Smyrna a guide and mountaineer from the Uzhanska valley. She specializes in cultural, cycling and walking tours for German-speaking tourists, educational tours for children and adults. She studied German philology and world literature in Ukraine, obtained an MBA in international tourism management in Austria. The owner of the "Bed & Bike Dobra Nuc" bicycle estate in the former farm granary, where she organizes real Uzhanska valley style weddings and marries tourists, organizes gastronomic events with volunteers from all over the world, as well as children's camps. Alice's special passion is children and family environmental programs during which you can go beyond the usual and use all senses, rediscovering the world around you.

The route ends in the border village Novoselytsia, so be sure to have identification with you.
