Welcome to Washington, the capital of the United States of America. When you stroll through this historic city, it’s easy to feel the scope and power of the American nation and its significance on the world stage.
Washington was founded in 1790 and named in honor of George Washington, the first American president whose portrait still adorns the U.S. one-dollar bill. In this beautiful city is concentrated all of the power, history and culture of the American nation. The official residence of the president of the United States, known as the White House, is located here. The seats of the federal, judicial and executive branches of American government are located here, too.
The city is also home to many parks and green spaces as well as museums and monuments of national significance. We invite you to come along with us on a tour of the institutions that make the capital city of America such a fascinating place

great tour, we really enjoyed it. anyone who has limited time (fewer than 3-4 hours), I would start with the last numbers and get to the beginning if there was enough time.

A wonderful tour with great comments. Much longer than the 3 hours announced though (it took us 6 hours with breaks).
