About the museum

The charms of this well-known open-air café located on the  banks of the Seine has attracted Renoir. He painted the famous Luncheon of the boating party from the house balcony towards the end of the summer in 1881.

The Fournaise Museum holds a collection of paintings and archives on the history of the House of Fournaise and the golden age of the banks of the Seine. It proposes alternating temporary exhibitions offering the opportunity to discover an artist or a specific theme such as Fauvism, The Sidaner, Aux rames canotiers (To oars boaters), Ziem.
