About the museum
Hello and welcome to Rockwood Park and Museum.
Our 2021 special exhibition examines the evolution of fashion from the Post-Civil War Reconstruction Period to the Progressive Era.
The mission of the Rockwood Museum is to serve the residents and visitors through education and recreation, while preserving and maintaining the historic 19th century mansion, its collections and grounds.
The county advances that mission by presenting an ongoing variety of youth and family-friendly public programming in the historic buildings and on the grounds, as well as hosting signature annual events and offering facility rental.
The public park is open daily from Dawn to Dusk. The Museum is open Wednesday through Saturday 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and Sunday, 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm with hourly guided tours of the Mansion and a variety of self-guided and special exhibitions.
This virtual exhibition has been brought to you by Rockwood Park Preservation Society.
We invite you to enjoy our many other virtual tours, including our audio walking guide by scrolling to the bottom of the page and clicking on the link for ALL GUIDES.
This self-guided, walking tour of our scenic park highlights the various structures and historic gardens of Rockwood.
We hope you enjoy your visit and will return for upcoming events and programs.

You are perpetuating the myths about tight lacing and extreme corsetry. I would expect better from a reputable museum. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zNwTqanp0Aw
