About the museum

The MAC is one of Europe's leading purpose built art venues.
Opened in 2012, we've welcomed over 1.1 million visitors from Northern Ireland and across the world.
The MAC is an artistic hub, where dancers, painters, actors, writers and musicians present ground breaking art. Internationally recognised and award-winning, the MAC presents the best of home grown, and visiting work. It has quickly become a vital shared social space in the city, mixing the very best in theatre, art and special events.
Open 363 days per year, the MAC houses 3 art galleries, 2 theatres, a family room, a dedicated dance studio, and a number of multi-purpose spaces designed for workshops, rehearsals and conferences. It is also home to 4 resident companies, the Den - a place where our young people and communities meet, an artist in residence studio and a cafe & bar.

Our eclectic programme changes regularly. To find out about everything that's happening at the MAC visit themaclive.com or follow us on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram.
